Being involved in volunteering with a
Kids Camp is a fun and exciting venture.
Giving back as a business owner, educator,
parent and community activists builds
future leaders, innovators, smart creatives,
digital intellectuals and even educators
in youth, teens and young adults.

As business owners ourselves, Aida and I
were invited to WordCamp San Juan to speak
and volunteer at this great conference,
in Costa Rica, it turned into an epic
adventure and journey. The beauty of the
time was equally stunning as the land
blossomed with green and vibrant colors
of plants and foliage only found
in Costa Rica.

Kids Camp provides unique opportunities for
children from 7 yrs to teens to be involved in
developing web sites through the WordPress
platform. The kids attending will be building
their own blogs and learning how to post content
with the WordPress platform. Parents are required
to work with their child as they develop content
on the web in real-time. This adds another dynamic
element to being a smart creative.

Kids Camp has been active in WordCamp Miami,
WordCamp Jacksonville and others across the
country and even the world.
Children will be taught how to add their stories
photos, video clips and more to their developing
content. The fun of building a web site raises
opportunities for kids to be entrepreneurs, tech
business owners and even developers.

Kids Camp San Jose in Costa Rica provides a fun
and enriching environment applying storytelling
and visual story-boarding. The building to this
project allows the kids to get into teams,
discuss their ideas, how to apply Apps and coding.

The Kids Camp activities are designed to be fun,
educational and building future business owners.
Available are certified teachers, web developers,
WordCamp speakers, volunteers and advocates like
Aida Correa and I, we are from Jacksonville,
Florida and traveled to this
great event as speakers.

The attending kids will earn their very own name
tag, SWAG ranging from stickers, posters, t shirts,
lunch will be provided and photos to be posted on
Social Media sites. Building their digital presence
and encouraging collaboration and cooperation with
the kids attending.

These awesome kid-friendly lessons will introduce
a wonderful world of WordPress and encourage
continued learning and design. Parents are encouraged
to stay involved in WordCamp conferences to build the
future business leaders that are the visionaries of
the future for Costa Rica and South America.
The sponsor was SiteGround that provided temporary
hosting for the students to participate.

William Jackson of My Quest To Teach #MyQuestToTeach
Aida Correa  of LoveBuilt LIfe #LoveBuiltLife
provided SWAG from  their respective companies
to encourage and motivate the young people involved.
