Rev. Jesse Jackson Organizing for Justice Rally

Rev. Jesse Jackson’s recent arrival at Jacksonville,
Florida helped to create an atmosphere of hope, determination
and purpose.

The events of the Trayvon Martin trial has shown once again
that the doors of justice present itself as only open for a small
segment of people. Showing once again that people of color are
less valuable and a young Black life is still cheap in the United
States of America.

The statement in the Constitution of the United States of
America seems not apply to all people, particularly to people
of color.
”We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with
certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness.” Three young men have been denied
Life, Liberty and their continued pursuit of Happiness. Their
lives have been extinguished.

Three recent cases of violence that has resulted in deaths
are now national attention, creating a division of the races.
Murder is murder, and as such there should be no discussion.
Three young Black men have been killed at the hands of
white men.
What can be done and who can lead a need for change:
Trayvon Martin – Killed by George Zimmerman
Jordan Davis – Killed by Michael Dunn
Darius Simmons – Killed by John Henry Spooner

Listen to Rev. Jesse Jackson’s inspirational speech that can
apply to each murder. Learn how “Stand your Ground” and
self defense are connected and differ. Education is the best
tool against ignorance and defeatism.
