The Best of BOLD Parent Event

Through the direction of Jewel Jackson Flornoy the Best of BOLD is a
Community program like no other that embraces parents and students at
Eugene Butler Middle School.

The goal is to inspire, encourage and ignite the passion for learning and
community involvement. Incorporating “Real Fathers Real Men” that
directed by Anthony Butler, Sr. showing that fathers are important
in the family structure. Fathers need to be involved in mentoring and
supporting the values of education, family stability and financial growth.

Best of BOLD Parents celebration at Eugene Butler Middle School
provided the audience information concerning the value of involved
fathers with a presentation by Octavius Holliday and several men from
100 Black Men of Jacksonville. Lead by Anthony Butler, Sr. of E3 Business
Group shared information on the influence fathers have in their families
and how they shape and mold children’s perspective on their self worth and
value in life.

Anthony Butler shared the value of Entrepreneurship and establishing a plan
for business success and having a vision for business ownership. Creating the
E3 Business Group men and women that need help in creating, managing,
financing and building their business can have individual help in the direction
they need to go. Networking with established business leaders and visionaries
E3 is creating a paradigm shift in how men and women can receive business
William Jackson, educator and Blogger (My Quest To Teach) shared
21st knowledge about Social Media, Cyberbullying, Sexting and how
students and parents can effectively Market and Brand themselves to
academic and career successes. The power of technology even when
using a Smartphone can make an impression to the world that can influence
employment, college entrance, acceptance into the military and other societal
events. Mr. Jackson shared that when creating content online it never goes away
and society judges youth by their Social Media creations with text, photos and videos.
Cohen Irvin PeDro, Executive Director, New Town Success Zone shared his passion
for helping communities develop into their full potential. As the Exe. Dir of New
Town Success Zone he is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of
Jacksonville’s Promise Neighborhood initiative.

Many teenagers and their parents need reality checks to how valuable information,
education and involvement is to be successful in their careers and employment

Octavius Holliday (Attorney), William Jackson (Educator and Blogger),
Anthony Butler, Sr. (E3 Business Group) and Cohen Irvin PeDro (Edward Waters
College) have participated in numerous community events speaking on serious
societal issues that affect youth, teens and young adults in the Jacksonville, Florida

The Best of Bold Parents works to improve the lives of children and their parents
through workshops, seminars and mentoring.
